No one taught you this at school.

Yet the decisions you make now will shape your financial future.

Your first salary, first rent payment, first tax return, first retirement planning decision. The financial choices you make today will have a greater impact than many of the decisions you make later in life.

YoungInvest gives you the essentials: budgeting, saving, getting started with investing, and understanding the Swiss third pillar. No jargon. No lectures. And no need to have money set aside before you start.

I've just received my first salary, and I'm not quite sure what to do with it.
I struggle to save money, even in months when things are going well.
People talk about the Swiss third pillar, but I don't know if it applies to me yet.
I'd like to start investing, but I'm afraid of making mistakes.
My parents still manage certain financial matters for me.
I keep putting it off, telling myself there's always time.

WHY START NOW?

TIME MATTERS MORE THAN THE AMOUNT.

It's the one advantage you have today that you can never get back later. Here's what investing CHF 200 a month could grow into, depending on when you start.

200 CHF

per month is the starting point for the example below. Nothing unrealistic or out of reach.

305,000 CHF

at age 65 if you start at 25. You would have contributed just CHF 96,000.

166,000 CHF

at age 65 if you start ten years later. Same monthly contribution, fewer years of investing.

139,000 CHF

difference despite contributing only CHF 24,000 more. It's time that makes the difference, not the amount.

Illustrative calculation: CHF 200 invested monthly, hypothetical annual return of 5%, compounded monthly until age 65. Returns are never guaranteed, and markets fluctuate. This example illustrates the impact of time, not a promised outcome.

Starting small and early beats starting big and late.

The YoungInvest difference

WE WON'T TALK DOWN TO YOU. AND WE WON'T TALK LIKE BANKERS EITHER.

Most financial content is either oversimplified or impossible to understand. There's very little in between for someone who's genuinely just starting out.

YoungInvest brings together young people who are asking themselves the same questions at the same stage of life. It's a place to ask the questions you might not feel comfortable asking elsewhere, without anyone judging you.

You don't need to understand everything today. You just need to get started.

Your questions, our answers

Before you begin

I have almost no money, does it help?

Yes, and it's actually the best time. Habits are formed when the amounts are small, not when the stakes become high.

I am a student, is it too early?

No. Budgeting, pay slips, and the 3rd pillar already concern anyone earning an income, even part-time.

Should I open a 3rd pillar right away?

Not necessarily. You will learn what it is for, what tax benefits it provides, and in which cases it is better to wait.

Will I receive investment advice?

No. We provide financial education. You will learn the principles, the risks, and the questions to ask, but never which product to buy.

What if I lack time between classes and work?

The content follows your pace. Signature adds a one-hour call per week for three months.

Can my parents gift me the program?

Yes, that's common. Access remains personal and group discussions stay among participants.

Is it only for Switzerland?

No, but the examples of taxation and insurance specifically refer to Switzerland.

The best time to start is now.

No need for savings or knowledge. Start with free resources, then progress at your own pace.
